Dr. Jarvis’ receptionist/scheduler is utterly incompetent. Her telephone manner is awful and she doesn’t remember phone calls and therefore doesn’t schedule appointments thereby wasting patients’ time and denying them the care they need from Dr. Jarvis. Avoid this doctor because of her staff!

I have been a patient of hers for more than 14 years. She is a very caring and thorough doctor. If she does not have the answer she will find it and get back to you either via phone call or email. So times she cancels appt but it is not done without thought for her patients. The office usually calls to rebook the same day. She also does on call work at a few hospitals for skin cancer and burn patients who come into the emergency dept. I have seen her give up many Christmas holiday seasons over the years to carry a pager for an emergency department. She will take as much time as you need to make sure your concerns are dealt with.
She does run late sometimes but it really is no worse than any other specialist I see. At least she apologizes for the wait which many doctors do not.
The best thing about her is that she is always upgrading her knowledge with conferences and courses. She also passes on her knowledge to other doctor and nurses.
Better a good doctor who is busy than a bad one who has nothing but free time.
