He was both extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and excellent with his residents. A true role model for other surgeons. He willing provided service for the first time through Telehealth. Inspires confidence and respect.

he is one of the best,I had several surgeries for my gallbladder to be removed.I wasin terrible pain ,when FINALLY I went to see Dr.Shapiro,he told me I was not crazy and my gallbladder had not been removed at all but was impacted in my liver,he responded ASAP and was very compassionate and truly deserves respect from any other so called "specialist",that consider themselves god.Thank you so much for my health and my sanity.

Dr. Shapiro saw my Mother in October and subsequently operated, removing half of her pancreas, gall bladder, and a cancerous tumour in her bile duct. He was prompt, thorugh, professional and 'no-nonsense'. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him.

I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Shapiro perform a liver transplant on me. Not only did I fully recover, but, with his expertise I have done very well post op. He is a very caring, compassionate man. He listened to me, and treated me with respect. I can still vividly remember him sitting on my bed in the ICU unit post transplant and reassuring me that I would be all right. He is an excellent surgeon,a very intelligent man, and a wonderful, caring Dr.
