I was pleased with my surgical outcomea with this doctor. However I am appalled at his manner. I read a lot of the comments on here, and have to share that I too have heard the endless "knock, knock" jokes when being examined. And also had him take a call on his cell while I was sitting there- at which he asked my thoughts on when he finished yelling at the guy on the other end of the line. The thing that shocked me the most was during one of my post-op exams. I told him that I was having my period, and he responded to me saying that he wasn't going to do an internal, but he was going to feel around on my tummy, etc. Regardless, I had to undress, and wear the gown. After he finished feeling around my tummy, he decided to do an internal afterall. I stated that I needed to remove my tampon.Right then, he just reached down and yanked it out!! Does that not cross some kind of line?!?! I was very uncomfortable. And everyone I told about it was shocked too. I found him to be inappropriate.

STAY AWAY!!! I waited 6 months to see this doctor and got an appointment in Feb/07. Was told by him – very rudely – that I had no idea what I was talking about, I had no girl problems and if my husband ate a can of beans everyday for a month he would have the same trouble I did. I was devestated and discouraged as I knew something was definately wrong! Went for second opinion, waited another 6 months and within a month of that appointment I was on the operating table. They found me full of Endomertiosis, scar tissue and other issues. Stay Away from Demco. He has no clue and clearly has no respect for women or women’s issues.

Had laporoscopy done by Dr. Demco 4 years ago – Endometriosis, which he didn’t manage to clean completely. Came to see him last year complaining about same type of pains. After a checkup he adviced to go to his massage therapist. I had to insist on ultrasound, which showed 2 fibroids. Even my Family doctor could find it. Got no recommendations from Dr. Demco. Had to switch to a different doctor.

My experience with this doctor only confirms that patients really have to rely on their own gut instinct and judgement when utilizing the services of a medical professional?! It’s a sad fact that we are not all doctors and cannot diagnose real life problems on our own. I am midway through my pregnancy and feel very good about my decision to find another doctor after reading the several comments posted on this site. The issue of weight gain I feel is being handled very inappropriately. I am not overweight and I do not feel that the extra 4 pounds gained poses a serious threat to my unborn child as I have been lead to believe. There is no time for Q&A and that may be in direct correlation to the fact that Dr. Demco finds it difficult to keep time. As a mother to be I think it is extremely important to be responsible for the welfare of not only my baby but myself. I hope that my comments serve to aid other women fortunate enough to review this site prior to a negative experience.

I saw Dr. Demco a few months back for a uterus ablation. (Burn out my uterus instead of removing it) Keep in mind I had a tubal done 12 years ago. He went on about pregnancy and I kept telling him I was not having anymore children. He kept talking and after a very strange exam, he proceeded to tell me there was something wrong with my bowel. He told me to stay away from dairy products. I have IBS and knew for about 15 years and after saying that I told him I had IBS… still he was not listening and rambling on while staring at his desk. Needless to say its about 6 months later still waiting for another specialist appointment for my bowel and still the procedure I wanted is still not done. I don’t recommend this doctor at all… I agree with many women on here… he is a inconsiderate jerk when it comes to women and there needs. Dr. Demco… if you don’t want to practice women’s health then get out now instead of putting innocent women in the perdicatment you have put them in!!!

I had a reverse tubal done Jan. 08,..I had no problems with this doctor. He even stepped in when the anetheologiest (sorry bad spelling) didn’t want to proceed with the operation when I was already on the operating table,,.because he thought that I would leave the hospital before paying…AS IF!!….plus my husband was there waiting to find out the amount…since they charge the outrageous amt of $100 per 15mins if the surgery goes longer then 1.5hrs. Anyway, Dr.Demco took time to talk to this irrational doc…and finally everything proceeded. I also had emergency bleeding,..and was taken very good care of. Apparently the surgery was a success,..and we are 2nd month TTC. Also, when going to get my stitches out, he was very courteous, and helped me to and from the office since I was still in pain from the surgery. I think he is a pretty good doc.
