I had a knee injury and was dissatisfied with my local doctors and surgeon service and was able to get a referral to see Mark at the Banff Clinic. Mark and his team's service was amazing and as it turned out I did nto need surgery.

Dr. Heard fixed up my knee (ACL) a little over a year ago and I couldn't be happier! Today I'm going snowboarding, yesterday was cross-country skiing and 3 days ago participated in a challenging black belt class, brace and pain free. He and his staff were awesome in every way!

Dr Heard was not available when I showed up. He left me instead in the care of a very inexperienced assistant who, although he moved my limbs around a lot, had no idea what he was looking for, which I found out after asking him. Dr Heard was not responsible for the surgery and only the functional test. Not only did I have to ask several times to see him, when he finally showed up, he spent 12 minutes trying to login to the system to view the MRI because, as he joked and I stood in severe pain after finding out I had a secondary injury, he forgot his password. Not professional in the least and really happy he did not perform my surgery. After 5 minutes with the assessment, he had no time to tell me what should happened next and left me with the untrained assistant who had no idea. I'm saddened by the fact that we have to choose between a competent surgeon and professionalism. Really glad he did not perform the surgery itself.

Dr. Heard is an amazing surgeon who really outshines in his practice. He performed surgery on my knee, and I cannot thank him enough for doing such a good job and helping me through the healing process. He spent about half an hour or more discussing with me on what I could do to fix my knee around a month before my surgery. He is truly a good and kind surgeon and I recommend him to everyone.

I am walking 1.5 weeks after surgery and my knee cap was split in two, 2 weeks. I have an appt to get my staples out next week then we see what happens with physio! I've texted him a few times with concerns as it was my first post op ever and he responded right away :) I recommend this man to anyone!

LOVE Dr. Heard. He is the only doctor that could diagnose me after four years of doctor visits and tests. Only had my shoulder surgery a few months ago but already seeing a lot of progress. Dr. Heard is always on time and i always leave with a smile. He definately knows his stuff and i would recommend him to anyone! Also has an amazing assistant!!

Excellent doctor.takes along time to get the Acl reconstruction but worth the effort and he good work of the doctor. Nice hospital experience in Banff

I Love Dr.Mark Heard!! The BEST!!..I would Not be walking with a natural bend in my knee if I had any other surgeon.Reconstructive surgery of my knee, surgery not recommended by Dr. Heards’ colleagues..BUT He took on the challenge..Thank God for Dr. Mark Heard!!! He is Wonderful!!!!!Hugs, LaRue
