Repair of left knee damage several years ago. Feels like new again still!!

Dr. Weiler had been highly recommended by a friend. After being told that I'd have to wait 6+ months with no firm date at a west-end hospital and I realized that the Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East is ONLY 10 more minutes away), I got in to see him within 10 days, and we immediately booked my operation for less than 2 months away!! HURRAY! I felt so well taken care of pre-and post-surgery. He even called me at home a day later to make sure I was ok, and visited me a couple of times in the hospital. He patiently answered all my questions and concerns and was kind and caring - exactly what you want in a doctor. My incision never bled or swelled up. I didn't need the hydromorphone pills after I left the hospital just Tylenol for pain management. I was walking 1,000+ steps the 2nd-day post--op and am increasing the distance each day. I was in and out of the hospital in 25 hours! And that was during the COVID pandemic. I felt very well looked after in the hospital by professional caring staff who I thank from the bottom of my heart. And due to COVID I even got a semi-private room without having to pay for an upgrade. Bonus and my roommate was an interesting quiet young woman.

In 2018 I had my left hip replaced. I was so incredibly pleased with Dr Weiler that I had my 2nd hip replaced just 3 months after. He was brilliant and talented having done both surgeries so meticulously that the x-ray of my hips could have been folded in half and lined up perfectly. I have absolutely no pain, no issues, no regrets. He gave me my life back>

In May of 2019 I had a left knee replacement, everything went very well including my recovery. I had my right knee done in June of 2020, and once again everything went well with everything. I can’t say enough about Dr. Weiler and his team, he is so knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything about the surgery and also answers all my questions. He also has the most amazing bed side manner. His secretary Tessina is also very pleasant and helpful in all areas. I would definitely recommend Dr. Weiler to anyone who needed an amazing surgeon. Thank you so much Dr. Weiler for making a huge difference in my life. I would definitely return to Dr. weiler if I needed any other surgeries that he does. He’s one in a million.

In 2019 I broke my radial head it was previously fixed back in 2018. I had a surgery to get a radial head replaced which is a very uncommon surgery. To be honest Dr. Weilers team did not give me any confidence I would every recover from this. Being 21 it was awful news. How ever around 8 months after I’m feeling great getting stronger by the day and move to and security of the elbow just keeps getting better. I may never do mma or play rugby again but with his surgery I’ve been able to work fine and my physically demanding career I’m truly thankful for Dr. Weiler for give me a third chance at living a happy paint free active life. In regards to elbow work I have complete faith his work. Hope this helps someone else

Fixed my fractured tibia real good, friendly, good communicator, very good people skills shown in handling of my hardware removal request 2yrs after fracture(I had it done).

EXCELLENT SURGEON , HE HAS OPERATED ON BOTH MY KNEES 2YEARS APART HE IS WONDERFUL AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED ALL WORKS WELL AND PAIN IS GONE . NO COMPLICATIONS AT ALL. I WOULD RECOMMMED HIM TO ANYONE. THANK- YOU DR. WEILER.

excellent surgeon.. was very considerate when he realized we travelled nearly three hours one way to see him….. his staff was very accomodating also getting us in for one day visits… pre op rather than two weeks apart….. post op should be stressed more than it is…….. nothing in the book that you get from the hospital re swelling… bruising etc.. a few exercises were given but not what it should be.. most important … physio… we had some come to the house…. as we are rural….. nice lady… but the swelling and the mobility was not to dr. weilers liking… so we went private…. and it was money well spent….. i am contemplating doing the other knee next year… was not so sure 7 weeks ago. but there is no pain in the knee that was done…. and it is soooo straight. never been this straight in 25 years….. excellent surgeon.. and i would drive 6 hours to have him do the next surgery. thank you dr. weiler..

Very satisfied with Dr. Weiler. He sometimes keeps one waiting but that is only because he gives extra time to those who need it–and that may be me someday! Great sense of humour and he dealt with me on a personal level–that is, I felt like he was listening and responding to my concerns. Dr. Weiler answers questions carefully and is not against repeating his explanations if they are not understood. In the operating room, Dr. Weiler and his staff were friendly and kind and set me at ease so that I had no worrys that I was in good hands. After care service was just as good. My knee has improved considerably with his good care. Thank you Dr. Weiler!

My family physician and I have had numerous discussions about specialists with a bedside manner (a rare find). Dr. Weiler has probably the best bedside manner I have ever encountered from a specialist. He always takes the time to explain things. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr. Weiler to anyone.
