Not a good doctor if you're really sick. If you have a straightforward concern- ie. Obvious ECG changes/elevated trops- then he can find out what is wrong. If your symptoms are more complex- get a second opinion. Doesn't listen to his patients and look for symptoms.

Dr. Bauer is fantastic, he is professional, knowledgable and compassionate, he has all the skills and traits that are needed to be an excellent doctor. I have always rec'd quality care from Dr. Bauer; additionally his assistant Mary Jane is wonderful, she will always go the extra mile to assist a patient with an appointment or question. Fantastic is all I can say about Dr. Bauer and Mary Jane.

I had a heart Angiogram procedure with him and I asked if he would do it himself and he said yes. Later a resident not even a fellow did my procedure. I had other options and did not want to be a training subject. For almost 2 weeks after the procedure I had burning in my heart but I survived. At the time of same procedure, since I had nobody to stay with me I told him if he couldn't arrange a night stay at the hospital I would prefer to do it somewhere else. He assured me even just before taking me to Cath Lab. Later he came back and said he couldn't keep me there. For the first night at home and alone I stayed up all night with 911 ready on my phone in case I needed it. I will not see him again even if he is the last cardiologist on earth.

If you get this doctor go see someone else. If you have no choice pack a lunch and maybe dinner. Never is on time for appointments. My appointment was for 10am and it was 1pm when I saw him. This is unacceptable in todays world. Sitting in a hospital waiting for a doctor. Come on. Get your act together. Don’t make appointments if you can’t fulfill them at a reasonable time.

HORRIBLE please I'm begging please don't go to him :( my grandpa had him and was prescribing him the wrong tablets for his heart and is unwilling to help his condition further. Thank goodness my grandpa is moving from him soon but had the WORST experience.

Dr. Bauer is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I had been in the emergency department on three separate occasions, in which they all informed me I had fluid surrounding my heart, and inflammation of the lining of my heart. I was put on medications and referred to Dr. Bauer. I saw Dr. Bauer, he was completely unprofessional, walked out of my appointment for 10 minutes. He then proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong with me, that maybe I misunderstood the previous doctors, that I should do upper body stretches but there was none he could recommend me.
I’m appalled at how Dr.’s like this are still able to practice. Having read the reviews below me, I know I am not the only one!

dr. bauer ckan be very nice ,
dr. bauer can be very understanding calm and really overly sweet to you.Then he can be extremely aloof , to the extent of rudeness. He spends most of his time on his computer even though you are talking to him about your health concerns. He rarely looks you in the eye and when he does it seems to be a very paranoid glance from the corner of his eye.the first app. At my first app. with Dr. Bauer, he was extremely quiet with a kindly doctor ‘s attitude. He was reassuring and verified , my heart was strong enough to undergo the surgery that had been already planned. However during my second app. with him, I was slightly “taken back” .He was a bit confused, he had a problem remembering who I was,even though the two appointments were only four months apart. He was mildly confused.He was unable to retrieve any of my medical information from his computer.Then he said that I should not be here,even though the app. had been well decided at least two weeks prior to that very day. Then he came out with the statement that I did not have a medical problem at all! the results of my ECG,echocardiogram ect. and other specialists (respirologist, other cardiologists)reports had been in his keeping for weeks if not months. His confusion appalled me. If you want your ❤️ well taken care of don’t entrust it to him. Dr. Bauer is “real bad medicine “.

I did not meet this individual as a physician but as a prospective employer. I was invited for an interview and did attend – I did not get the job. Long story short – about a week later there was a message on the voicemail at my job asking my present boss (also a physician) to call Dr. Bauer, he also said in the message it was “not patient related”. I was at my desk when my boss called him back, she came out of her office and she was visibly irate but never said a word to me. About 3 months later I was out of a job – word around was Dr. Bauer told her I had applied to his job posting. I just think this was so unscrupulous and still makes me wonder if he discusses his patients medical histories to anyone who would listen.

I have no idea where to start I’m just so upset he didn’t treat me like a patient he treated me like an immigrant he didn’t ask answer any of my questions he didn’t respect me I’m scared for my life I hope I can get a referral to see another doctor soon . He is located at the Humber River Hospital At keeps and Wilson. Please for your own safety , do not go to him . I beg you , please take care of your life and find another cardiologist, god gave us one life – we don’t get another one

Does not explain anything, unless you ask him he won’t say anything! Like every word coming out of his mouth is a dollar sign. He will ask his nurse to come talk to the patient instead and even the nurse doesn’t know what to say, but, you have to call Doctor Bauer’s office to book an appointment! Then I asked if I could get his number and the nurse said “google it”! Really?!!! What the Ffff! Don’t go see this Dr if you want to live!
