In November 2017 Dr. Snelgrove surgically removed nearly half of my colon following a diagnosis of colon cancer. My recovery was uneventful and nearly painless because the surgery was performed laparoscopically. I found Dr. Snelgrove was knowledgeable, caring and he answered all of my concerns. My experience prior to surgery and after was excellent. I would recommend Dr. Snelgrove to anyone. He is the best and I am a grateful patient.

Surgery performed. He did a surgery for me that Dr. Bradley declined to do. Dr. Snellgrove was also willing to respect my wishes. The surgery went great, and I am so happy.
I used to have an ostomy for five years, and it was terrible. I struggled with numerous prolapses and leakages terribly. My self-image was destroyed, and it sent me into a spiral of depression and addictions. All of which I reversed when I got rid of my ostomy and I built my life again and was so happy. I was admitted to the hospital with an internal hernia. Dr. Snellgrove was confident that he could perform the surgery without having to give me another ostomy. The next day, the system rotated in a new attending surgeon, Dr. Bradley, who declined to perform the surgery because she had no “bailout.” What exactly would I have done if Dr. Bradley was my only choice? I guess just die. Dr. Snellgrove rotated back on and said he would respect my wishes. He had confidence that he wouldn’t have to give me a stoma, though. My life is full-filled with lots of friends, a close relationship with my brother, a career I love, hobbies, community, and so much more. I honestly have no way of repaying Dr. Snellgrove. Just please know how thankful I am, and how happy I have made the life you chose to save.

Dr. Snelgrove is an amazing surgeon. He has wonderful bedside manner and put me at ease before my surgery. I needed an urgent subtotal colectomy for my chrons disease after medication failed. His whole team was compassionate and took really good care of me. After being severely sick for 2 months, Dr. Snelgrove gave me my life back and my new stoma saved me. So grateful.

Dr. Snelgrove changed my life. I had been suffering with a disease for over 10 years until it was finally diagnosed in 2021. I met with Dr. Snelgrove that same year (November 2021) where he preformed a surgery that has changed the way I live my day to day life. When i think about the surgery part, as much as it sucked – i’m thankful everyday for the experience because now I can live my life like more people and it’s all thanks to him. Very kind man with a lot of empathy.

I know the covid restrictions aren’t his fault but I’ve been waiting to get my osteomy reversed since last May… they’re lifted now I haven’t heard from him in a few months. He kept saying I’m not missing out on much but he doesn’t realize how much it affects me emotionally.
