My introduction to Dr Diamond was watching him loudly berate another patient in the public waiting area. During this dressing down, which continued for over 10 minutes even after they went into the consulting room with door left open, he disclosed several confidential facts about the patient to all and sundry. He may be knowledgeable about some things but in relation to the issues I was sent to him about he was clueless and out of date. For example he stated with great certainty that the time that a particular medication stayed in the body was about 3-4 weeks when in reality it is less than 1 day (according to medical texts and also consistent with blood tests / measurements of my use of the medication). In relation to other important issues concerning my treatment he seemed quite unfamiliar with the last 30 years of research. His abrasiveness is legendary among doctors and patients alike. All in all a complete waste of time. The only positive was that he bulk billed me.

Seemed in a rush to get me out the door before we even began. But I could have put up with the poor bedside manner if he was knowledgeable and actually helped me, which he did not. He found a problem with my testosterone levels but showed no interest in finding the root cause (pituitary or testicular malfunction). I was prescribed testosterone injections and told to come back in 2 months. He didn't bother explaining the effects or other medications to mitigate the side effects. On top of this the receptionist talks to you like you're dirt.
