I have been seeing Dr. Slabbert since he came here several years ago. He always takes time to listen despite the time of day and gives useful advice in terms most people can comprehend. If he does not have all the answers, he refers or does tests and follow-ups. His manner is friendly and he has a sense of haha. He makes you feel confident in what you are hearing as well as making you feel like you are his only patient at that moment. He is so good, in my opinion, that often making an appointment in a timely manner can be a problem.

Dr. Slabbert is a doctor who clearly enjoys his job. He is welcoming and friendly every time I need to see him. He is very funny but also warm and intent on helping you with whatever you need. When he walks in to see you, you feel as if you are his only concern of the day and he doesn’t rush you in and out like so many doctors seem to. He is intense when considering your problems and how to help you and seems to put a great deal of thought into your situation. This instills confidence which is really important when you are hurting or sick. Dr. Slabbert is an imperfect human, just like the rest of us, but he is very skilled and very kind, exactly what I hope for in a Doctor.
