My dad has been in the worst hands with this man. His health deteriorated the last three years because of Slabbert's neglectful and don't-care attitude. If you care for your health and your loved ones, please do NOT see him. THE WORST!

He has been my family doctor for years. He doesn't jump first to medication, takes time to chat, explores options, calls the pharmacy to talk to them personally. He is my favorite!

My grandmother had an extreme blood issue, which tests which would clearly indicate was leukaemia. That was 5 years ago. This year when she was more concerned about her health was told by another doctor to see a specialist and was diagnosed with a fairly serious chronic blood issue. I have heard from many seniors that he can neglectful and uninvolved. I cannot speak to his punctuality or staff, but I was disappointed enough that my entire family has changed doctors.

Words cannot describe how much Dr. Slabbert has helped me. He's kind, caring, he will research things just for you so he can learn more about it. He tells you like it is especially when you sometimes need it. Yet he asks "what would YOU like to do?" I've had wonderful experiences with this doctor and he's a life saver and changed my life completely. He isn't judgemental either and he will do his best and whatever it takes to make you happy. His nurse laurel is also amazing and has always fit me in even when there is no where in his calendar to fit me she makes it work. I love this doctor and I recommend Dr. Slabbert all the time. He is busy and runs late sometimes but I know that he's spent lots of time with me and so I completely understand because he does the same with other patients. Well worth it! Amazing doctor!

He's been my family doctor since I was 2 years old, and he's been amazing every step of the way! Very empathetic, caring and knowledgeable. My family travels from far and wide to see him - I do too, from Edmonton. It's worth the trip. I have a number of chronic health issues and he's always very careful when diagnosing and prescribing so that I have the exact right care for my condition. He is also good about doing research and reaching out to other physicians if something is unclear. His nurse Laurel is incredible as well. She's so kind and makes me feel safe and comfortable every visit.

DR. SLABBERT IS ONE OF THE BEST DR.S OF ALL TIME.HE IS PROFESSIONAL AND ALSO SO DOWN TO EARTH. I ENJOY HIM AS A PATIENT. HE IS KNOWLEDGABLE, GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER, GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, AND GENTLE AND CARING. I ALSO ENJOY WORKING WITH HIM AT THE HOSPITAL AS A NURSE. EVERY ONE OF HIS PATIENTS ARE TREATED LIKE THEY ARE A IMPORTANT AND GIVEN VERY THOROUGH CARE.

Dr.Slabbert has been my family doctor for many years.When I see him it is like I am a new patient,he is very caring,concerned,and very knowledgable.I have had many health issues,and he is always very supportive and encouraging.He is more than willing to see my family members when I have asked him,and he just smiles and tells me “of course I will.” I would recommend this doctor to anyone because of his positive attitude,his caring ways and knowledge and sense of humor,even on a off day he still is a ray of sunshine.He also does not hesitate to recommend that I see a specialist if he is uncertain of what is happening.Dr.Slabbert is an excellent example of what a family doctor should be,kind,carring and knowledgeable.You know he enjoys his work by his smile and kind word and humor.

An incredible Dr!!! Always helpful & kind. I refuse to take my family to anyone else! The only problem is that he is so good that it is difficult to get in to see him!!! That tells me exactly how good he is. I also appreciate greatly that he will make time to answer any questions I have, no matter how silly they may seem. I also agree with others that he doesn’t have the “GOD COMPLEX” that some other doctors have, & he isn’t afraid to admit he isn’t sure of something and then ask for help from others. This is a wonderful quality that seems to be way to rare in most doctors!! I also like the fact that he is very gentle, especially with my children. My children get excited to go see him, even when they are sick or in pain!!!!

Seems to be a very nice family type dr…Does not discriminate…seems to be knowledgeable…has a good bedside manner…good sense of humour…A bit slow on signing off paperwork…

I moved to Camrose 18 months ago and was fortunate enough to find Dr. Slabbert. He is warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and non-judgemental. He’s the kind of doc that you can talk about any medical issue and feel comfortable with it. I feel very fortunate!
