In general, bogged down in too much of their own bureaucracy. Dr Reikes (endocrinology) & Dr Bhatt (opthamology) knowledgeable and highly recommend. Neurology, conflicting recommendations from their own staff of which dr treats what conditions and dr Saberi at women's health center could not seem to be more apathetic.

I would not be alive today if I had not been transferred to UCI Medical Center as a patient. I was flown there in the middle of the night for a ruptured aneurysm. They literally brought me back from the dead. I am forever grateful. Received the best care there by the vascular surgeons and ICU nurses.

UC Irvine Medical Center is the place to go to in Southern California if you have something complex. They have the best doctors there and can always figure out what you have. My cousin had a large skull base tumor which had been called a meningioma. He went and saw the doctors there and they said it was an acoustic neuroma. It was operated on by Drs. Linskey and Djalilian. His facial nerve was completely normal right after the surgery. He had been told that he had a 30-50% chance of facial paralysis at another institution in LA. Definitely the best place to go for complex problems.

Evil, Evil, Evil! $$$$$$$ and that’s it. Stay far away from the neuropsychiatric facility. The medical records should be free and not hundreds of dollars for your own copy.

I went into kidney failure and ended up in ICU for 7 days. Was told an enlarged prostate completely blocked my bladder and I needed surgery. I searched for four months for the best surgeon and the most state of the art procedure with the least side effects. I have a medical background so I knew what to look for. I contacted UCI Urology group and asked if any surgeon there performed the Button Plasma TURP surgery. They referred me to Dr. Louie who was with UCI for five yrs and was now in private practice. He was kind enough to see me at UCI and was a warm, friendly and very informative physician. He explained in detail the surgery and possible complications and we agreed on a surgery date. I chose the Button Turp over Green Light laser because there was less bleeding and minimal side effects. The surgery went flawlessly and many other doctors at UCI asked my permission to observe Dr. Louie operate because he is one of the best at this procedure and they wanted to see him in action. His skill prevented me from having any of the normal side effects of this type of surgery and now I feel like I’m 16 yrs old again in that part of the male anatomy. Dr. Louie saved my life and got me back to better than normal life because of his skill and attention to detail during the operation. For those of you with prostate or other urological trouble, male or female, please do your research. Dr. Louie gets a 10/10 and I highly recommend him.
