๐Overview
Stroke is a medical emergency characterized by sudden loss of brain function due to interruption of blood supply or bleeding within the brain. It is also known as cerebrovascular accident (CVA). Modern terminology classifies stroke primarily into ischemic stroke (caused by blood vessel blockage) and hemorrhagic stroke (caused by bleeding). Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) are brief episodes of stroke-like symptoms that resolve without permanent damage but indicate increased stroke risk.
