The best of the best! I was misdiagnosed in the ER but ended up getting a referral to see her in the Royal Alex eye clinic. She gave me the right diagnosis and advocated for me over the next two years while I recovered. She explained everything to me so clearly and made sure that I felt truly understood. I cannot recommend her enough!

We have seen Dr. Pollock 4 times and I have never met a more rude, arrogant and condescending person in my life. Every appointment we’ve had she has been rude. When we leave we have more questions than answers. She does not explain things very well. When you question her about something she’s saying that you don’t understand she gets condescending. My child was referred to her by another specialist to see if there was a connection between another health issue and her vision changes. We have seen dr pollack 4 times and she has yet to send any information to the referring dr. I asked her if she could please send the info to the other doctor and she told me NO. She said she doesn’t have to send every dr that has seen my child her report. I was shocked at her response and I said I wasn’t asking for her to do that but at least send it to the dr that referred my child to her. She’s been seen by specialists that are supposed be looking for answers and one has no idea what the other has found or thinks. I said that I am just the parent and I was under the impression that the Drs would be in contact to figure out if there was a connection. She then told me she tried to call the other dr but couldn’t get a hold of him so She did what she could. She told me if the dr wants information they can send a request. I was already told a request was sent 2 weeks ago and Dr.pollack said she didn’t get it. So I said I am requesting her to send the information and she said the dr can ask her again. At this point I was angry and completely surprised I was even having this conversation. Why would she not let the other dr know what she’s found. My child has been sick since September and dr pollock has seen her 4 times since January. We go back to the referring dr on may 4th and I told dr pollock I was hoping he would have the information of what she’s found by then and she said she would try to call him but there’s not much she can do. Doesn’t she have to do a report?? I don’t know what to do! I want answers and dr pollock may or may not know something that can connect what is going on with my child and she basically refuses to follow through. I was upset and said that this was the worst experience I have ever had and that she was unbelievably rude and she said if I’m not happy with her care she will refer us to someone else. All because she doesn’t feel like letting the other dr know what her findings are?? I’m confused and angry. I hope anyone else that sees her doesn’t have the same experiences we have.

Dr. Pollock is AMAZING with children! She was very thorough and while she is quiet during the exam she is very good at explaining what she saw as well as answering any questions. I never once felt rushed. The staff at the clinic are generally lovely and helpful but recently we had a situation where a staff member was rude to us due to a miscommunication about an appointment change.

Dr Pollock did surgery for my daughter’s strabismus and we are so happy with the results! Finally her eyesight is starting to improve because her eyes are now properly aligned. Dr. Pollock is very knowledgable, patient, kind and we trust her to give us good advice with our best interests at heart. She is amazing and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good paediatric ophthalmologist!
