I went to see Dr Azer when my other Obgyn has been too busy to see me (waiting on 2 years) He is helping me with all the issues my other Dr wouldn’t address. Dr Azer isn’t the best at communicating but he knows what he is doing and I trust him.

I went to see Dr. Azer for a problem I had in my lady area. I had a lot of pain and swelling and did not know what to do! After being switched rooms about 3 times and waiting an hour he finally examined me and said I had no infection and gave me 2 forms. 1. A blood work. 2. An ultrasound. It was the weekend so neither places were open. Eventually the swelling increased and the lump increased to the size of a golf ball. I could not walk, sit, or stand or even lay down. I was in excruciating pain!! I came to find out by going to the hospital that it was absess caused by infection ND had to have surgery to remove it. I highly recommend not to see this doctor!

I went to see Dr. Azer because I was having problems with painful intercourse and a low sexual drive. He laughed at me and told me I had psychological problems that were causing this. I asked if having been on the pill for many years could have caused a hormonal imbalance and again he laughed at me and said that if the pill caused that, everyone would know about it, an nobody would be on the pill anymore. He was completely dismissive, ignorant and condescending. I went to a different doctor, and she diagnosed me with vaginismus, for which she referred me for physical therapy, and diagnosed me as having low free testosterone, caused by years of being on the birth control pill, which was causing the low sexual drive. Following the physiotherapy and treatment with testosterone, I was able to get completely back to a normal sexual life. DO NOT GO SEE Dr. Sam Azer. He is a terrible doctor.

was told by my fertility specialist that I needed to go to the closest emerg because I was at risk for an ectopic pregnancy, seen Azer. Was not impressed, he was more concerned about trying to get me to leave my family doctor that I’ve had for years to see one at the Centre and to leave my fertility clinic doctor to see him. Then proceeded to tell me that I MAY have an ectopic, but maybe not and just to take the miscarriage drug. That’s it, without knowing what my underlying issue was, just a quick fix. Never let me finished answering his questions just mumbled this own thing and kept telling me that this drug was the answer and that I didn’t need an ultrasound at all. Could potentially loose a following tube but for him it was no big deal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Azer for approximately 1 year now and my experience has been very positive. I agree that he can be rushed at times but understand that he has to prioritize and maximize on the time he has with the number of patients he has and had always taken the extra time with me when required. He may be easily misunderstood because of his straight forward personality and he tends to tell you how it is. I myself appreciate that quality being like minded and will go to friends and family for the hands holding when needed. I have received two surgical procedures from him and both times with great success. On my last followup I did have some personal family issues which I had shared just in conversation and was surprised when he dropped everything and took the time to ask questions and showed me the compassion that I probably needed at the time. I would recommend and this specialist to my family or friends. I've been extremely impressed this far.

He was entirely unhelpful and condescending. Didn't answer any questions with any detail and spoke to me like I was stupid. He straight up refused to address my concerns, deferring to my GP.. when he is the "specialist" I was referred to. He didn't ask ANY follow up questions regarding my concerns he clearly just didn't want to deal with me. Used very condescending analogies for my health concerns and I left with less knowledge than I had coming into the appointment. I left crying.

Do not go to Dr Azer!!! Horrendous experience. He was unnecessarily rough, causing severe pain. I have had biopsies in the past, but never experienced anything like this. First the speculum was inserted very fast and roughly. He then proceeded to very aggressively thrust the tissue removal instrument (numerous times). He was so rough that I had to firmly hold onto the examination table or I may have fallen off. This was so painful I was in tears. I left his office feeling extremely VIOLATED. . Please do not see him or even worse take your daughters to him.

Do not ever go to this "doctor"!! More importantly do not ever let your daughters go to him. He uneccesserally hurt me and he did not even know what I was there for in follow up, TERRIBLE bedside manner and likes to bring you in extra so he can charge AB hlth. He shoved the speculum in me so hard I started immediately cramping. He also did not use any numbing, I'd had this cervical biopsy procedure at the Cross before and they froze my cervix for the procedure. He did not! He didn't prepare me for what he was going to do, he just got in there and I then cried silently in major unexpected pain, squeezing the nurse's hand like I was giving birth. I actually felt violated after I left! Seriously!! It was a horrible feeling. I have never in my life felt that. My GP of 20 years was a man, and did all my paps every year with care, concern and explanatiins, so it's not a gender issue. Then upon results follow up, Dr Azer made me come back to the office, nurse wouldn't say anything on the phone to me, said he told her not to (they always tell on the phone at my GPs office when it's negative, that's the office he was using) only to tell me it was negative afyer worrying all weekend!! Then he was explaining how he didn't know what we were ging to do next, here were my options for the heavy bleeding and it was up to me what I wanted to do. Um what the h*ll are you talking about, I had an abnormal pap?? You did a biopsy for cancer, it's neg, end of story!! So he didn't even know what I was there for. Plus he made me come in 3 times, so he could charge AB Health for each appointment. Two of those appts were unneccessary. This man should NOT be practising!
