Husband wasn’t allowed in the room for my HSG. Radiologist had terrible bedside manner and got into a petty argument with husband. âDo you attend your wife’s gynecology appointments and peer over the doctors shoulders there?â My gynecologist is a woman. (??)
I’ve experienced sexual trauma before and I wanted my husband there.
Procedure was fine.
There were two students and one tech already in the room, so I was already on display. I just tried to get out of there as soon as possible.

Had my child prematurely via c section, the nurse took me off iv pain meds after 12 hours and never explained to me when/how I could take other medication to control the pain. After calling for the nurse 6 times throughout a 10 hour period to ask for pain medication, no one ever came in. I had to use my personal phone to call the nurse manager on the floor and have her personally come to my room and give me pain medication. The nurse then comes in after and was very rude towards me and my husband when I asked a question regarding my newborn and his screenings. I asked her to leave and requested a new nurse, when she told me no, I requested to be discharged 24 hours after a c section and went home because I refused to stay somewhere we would not be taken care of. Super disappointed as my other two births there went so well and the care was excellent. Would not recommend birthing there due to this experience, and do not want other women to be treated so badly.
