📋Overview
Krill Oil is a substance extracted from small, shrimp-like crustaceans known as krill, primarily found in the Antarctic Ocean. This marine oil serves as a source of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
Unlike some other marine oils, this ingredient contains these fatty acids partially in the form of phospholipids. It also naturally contains astaxanthin, a carotenoid pigment that provides the oil with its characteristic reddish color.
