After reading such negative reviews we were really concerned about my mom’s appointment with Dr. Russell. However we found him to be extremely kind and helpful. The clinic staff was also really good. I suppose it’s a matter of who you click with. I would have no issue recommending him.

He diagnosed me before meeting with him and the initial meeting was > 5 minutes.I left baffled at the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia since I didn’t feel anything was ruled out/investigated.Months went by and symptoms changed and things started to show in bloodwork. My Dr sent me back to see him and asked him specifically to look at two other separate disorders as Fibro didn’t make sense. He scuffed at her letter. When I asked for more testing or info on the two disorders she asked him to check, he ignored me and kept saying he couldn’t help me.The student Dr in the room tried to point out the flags in my bloodwork in which he quickly quieted him down. He did inform me that he misdiagnosed fibro in the first visit. I felt very saddened in which he responded I should see a Psychologist for helping to cope..All I wanted was a proper evaluation and treatment. With Fibro on your file many other rheumy’s will not see you so it has been quite the struggle even though the diagnosis was retracted.

Dr. Russell was very off putting, rude and would not listen. I have been dealing with random attacks on my hands. I have seen several doctors, two agreeing I needed to see a rheumatologist. Right when I got in, he would not understand the severity, the length, or listen to any of the other symptoms I now experience. I was basically told to drive two hours and than he would look at it, when my hand starts up again. No offence but I will be finding a new rheumatologist who listens.

I have crohn’s disease and was referred to Dr. Russell from my GI doctor. I got an appointment within 2 weeks which I thought was great. When I saw Dr. Russell I was told that I probably have fibromyalgia and that I needed to try meditating and trying self hypnosis. He ordered no tests or felt the need to look into why my hands have swollen 2 ring sizes. I left feeling that I had wasted time. I then got a call for a follow up less then 3 months later……Not sure why I would need to come back for a follow up that soon when I was basically told nothing was wrong and to meditate on it….Seems like someone is hungry for money, needless to say I will not be returning
