He was very arrogant and I felt he prescribed medicine just to get rid of me and that is not what I wanted. This was my first visit to him and he didn't know anything about me. He should have investigated the problem a little more instead of just throwing meds at it and lets see what happens attitude. this is why I rated him so low on the helpful scale.

i had asked him to place a small cast on my harm as it dad almost completly healed so i could go skiing so he put the largest most uncomfortable cast and sent me flying cares more about the mercedes than about me

This man who calls himself a doctor, honestly does not care about his patients, he almost killed a family member. His pride gets in the way and does not listen to the patient or the family leading to an almost fatality. He is very lucky nothing happened.

I would not go see any other doctor! I have actually gotten over my illness with his help rather than being told live with it or here is a basket of meds try these. I think some of the'arrogant' comments come from people who are going into the hospital just hoping for medication and are upset when they are told there are other ways to deal with their medical condition.

Not that it’s completely unheard of, but After waiting one hour (never had to wait that long for the other docs I’ve seen in Lac La Biche so far) dr Birkill came in to the room and spoke for all but one minutes before printing out a prescription. I told him I was 37-38 weeks pregnant. I felt like he hadn’t really given any thought to the prescription he wrote for me so I double checked with the pharmacist before getting my prescription filled, pharmacist said it wasn’t safe for after 36 weeks pregnant. This doctor is a joke, should not have a medical license based on all the reviews I’ve seen about his lack of care for patients and my first hand experience, I will definitely avoid this doctor at all cost!

He prescribes pulls without checking how they will react with current ones, he is never on time, you could show up an hour late and you might get in to see him 10 minutes later – if you’re lucky. He told me that exercise doesn’t help you to lose wait. I mean come on – really?

Will never see this doctor again, there was absolutely no professionalism at all. Went in to get referral to a specialist in Edmonton. I did my home work as to where I wanted to go and his demeanour was undermining that a person can go online and do some research from. Would drive an hour out of La Lache Biche if he was the only doctor on hand.

He is the most arrogant doctor. He should be happy to be in Canada and not in South Africa anymore. Should treat people with respect.
