I cannot recommend Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Tim Small highly enough. Right from the initial consultation, Tim put me fully at ease regarding my Hip Replacement surgery, clearly explaining the procedure and my rehabilitation timeline. The Surgery put paid to my Arthritic hip, I am pain free, and he even managed to correct my uneven leg length as a bonus. Thanks Tim, you are a Legend!

I had a hip replacement in October 21, 2020. Before I was suffering with pain for a year, I couldn’t walk and do my everyday routine, I even couldn’t sleep because of pain. I was so lucky to have Dr Tim Small as my surgeon. The operation was successful, I felt the difference of life quality straight away after it. In a few days I was full of life and in a few weeks I felt so strong and energized that I haven’t felt for ages.
I can’t express how much I grateful to Dr Small and his team. And special thanks to the anesthetist, who was extremely professional.
I have some experience because this is my third joint replacement. And I would say the best one. I was really impressed by Dr Small’s attitude; he is so friendly and supportive.

Dr Tim Small and his Team have performed wonders with my fractured elbow, ulna and radius after an accident in Feb 2020. Dr Small’s positive demeanour, attitude and enthusiasm reassured me immensely initially as I thought I would never regain strength and flexibility. Within 6 months my elbow and arm were working again! Tim has a great manner and gives you, the patient the confidence to push yourself towards recovery. I would recommend Dr Small’s expertise to ensure the best possible recovery. Thanks again Tim.

I met Tim on July 15 this year. I have had breast cancer with bone metastasis for nine years.
I began experiencing groin pain and had difficulty weight bearing. I had spent an entire day in emergency in a NSW regional hospital. The registrars proposed urgent surgery without informing my husband and I as to the details and how it was related to my symptoms.
After that traumatic day, my oncologist referred us to Dr Tim Small. What a contrast! Tim walked us through all of my scans and showed us a fracture in my femur was imminent. He carefully explained the proceedure of a femeral rod and nail, and showed recent xrays of one he had performed.
We requested bloodless surgery which posed no problem to Tim or his team. Surgery was scheduled for July 17.
What an amazing man! Reasuring, caring, very sympathic to cancer patients, and professional.
The surgery itself was as neat as a pin. Four very small cuts along my leg. Healed beautifully. Pain free within a couple of weeks.
In my opinion Tim is a master surgeon.

Dr Tim Small’s upbeat, personable and friendly manner belies his deft handiwork. I am elated by the results of my full hip replacement performed by Dr Small in September. His team are equally enthused, professional and available for questions. All followup medical personnel I have since seen have remarked on the ‘beautiful neat scar’. Thank you so much, Dr Tim Small, from a public patient of St Vincent’s Hospital.
