Dr Gordon Sussman is one the best allergy specialist in Toronto. He and his father have an allergy clinic on ST Clair Ave. I was told by a hospital nurse that everyone in the medial profession that has allergies have him as a doctor. He certainly has improved the quality of my life, and I am so full of allergies it's very complicated. I truly trust his ability as a specialist

Dr Sussman is brilliant! I have been to multiple allergists and none were able to figure out what my diagnosis was. Within a matter of minutes he was able to diagnose me with what over five different physicians were unable to. I would recommend him to anyone. Understandably, he is very difficult to get into. However, he is worth the wait! Thanks Dr. Sussman! One of the most kind physicians I have seen.

Kind, patient, punctual. Would strongly recommend this doctor and his staff.

Arrogant, didn’t listen, wanted us to know how important and busy he is, took a personal call during our appointment without leaving the room; could not figure out what my son was allergic to. Would not go back.

This doctor argued with his interns during our meeting regarding their performance and then proceeded to try to push experimental allergy drugs on me. I refused so he would not offer me anything else (shots) and his office proceeded to harass me for the better part of a year constantly calling me to see if I wanted to take the experimental treatment. They would often call at 9pm. Terrible experience.

I was having swells in many parts of my body and I was at that time working in the USA, with the management of a big project and eventually without available time to see a specialist. The swells used to disappear very soon sometimes so I decided to create a report with pictures of the problem I was facing. My family doctor mistakenly sent me to see Mr. Sussman and the result was a disaster! I am a professional Engineer and in the past I studied 1 year medicine before deciding to change my career so I know how things work and furthermore I am a researcher. Mr. Sussman ignored my report and rudely tossed it on the table! He said I had Angiodema, he also told me to start a treatment with antihistamine!!! I had to wait 45 days to get the blood results and fortunately I discovered I had no other serious conditions causing the problem (Angiodema can be a consequence of cancers!). I started a research on Angiodema and Prevaccid (the medicine I was taking at the time for acid reflux) and I discovered that Agiodema is not healable as he told me and I also discovered that Prevaccid can cause the swells as a side effect!!! How come Mr. Sussman did not consider the side effect of Prevaccid before jumping to his conclusions?! I believe that in his shoes I would have performed a better job as an Allergist than he did, at least I would behave as a professional! To add insult to injury he cancelled my last appointment with him without any further consideration!!! I seriously though about suing him for his contempt, arrogance and incompetence! I was moving back to Europe at that time so I decided to forget this situation!
