I ended up in the emergency room after seeing Dr Sussman. He didn’t warn me about delayed reactions, and he and his team didn’t care. Wouldn’t trust him with my life and wouldn’t recommend him to anyone, ever.

Dr. Sussman is a caring, compassionate gentleman. He is very much in demand because he is the best. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and continuously follows up regarding my well-being. He gives me hope, when hope is needed!

Very interesting to read the reviews on Dr. Sussman. He has a great rep, which is why I waited months to see him. I understand that he has helped many people over the years and I'm sure this is true, but I had a very disappointing experience with him, and I can't believe what I'm reading. Outside of one review that speaks to the messy, cluttered and generally chaotic office, which is absolutely true, I found the Doc's beside manner to be lacking compassion or individualization and I was thrown some sample allergy pills for my long wait. One of the packs I was provided was already used. Of course, he's knowledgeable, but I didn't care for his attitude at all and as previously noted, his staff are terrible at triaging their appointments, returning messages, etc. But they will continue to get away with this because of the Doc's long standing reputation. While I expect groans from all the "geez, everything is not about race non-racialized crowd, I also felt my pain was dismissed and I was spoken to in a microaggressive manner as well, which led to my overall negative experience. This is a well documented bias in medicine so you don't have to believe my account. What I can tangibly say is you will wait a long time to see Dr. Sussman and will arrive at a discombobulated office space with so-so staff and get prescribed , probably Blexten, for your trouble. Haven't returned, so can't speak to the same success everyone else can. Take it for what it's worth. He's a good doctor with a questionable beside manner.

Brilliant doc. He takes his time and genuinely cares about his patients.

Was referred to him through the Hospital for Sick Children because he was the on call doctor at the time. He refused to help me and insisted he was not associated in anyway with Sick Kids. I would hate to have him as a regular doctor. He did me a favour by his refusal. I have since found a terrific allergist. Avoid him at all costs!

What can you say about an “ill” organized office. You call for an appointment and never receive a call back. You call about a medical question and receive a call A YEAR LATER about a totally different subject. If you do get lucky and get in for an appointment they hand you a NEW PATIENT sheet every time because they can’t find your file. What use is that to the doctor when you have been a patient for years? The building itself is in disrepair and ironically, the ducts are filthy and moldy. Don’t go downstairs if you’re asthmatic. The best is their voicemail. It requests you cancel 5 DAYS in advance or be charged $75! I don’t know anyone who plans illness or emergencies in advance…except, physcians. As for Dr. Sussman he is kind and from what I hear a knowledgeable immunologist, but frankly, I’ve been ping ponged back & forth so many times, I wouldn’t know & we have to repeat history if I do see him that takes up time. I’ve learned my lesson. New doctor. That office needs to retire .
