To the person commenting below mine, we are going through a pandemic. Most physicians are not even seeing patients. They are short staffed and it’s not easy. They are doing the best they can under these circumstances. With all these Covid restrictions hitting us every other month that is why appointments get cancelled. Be kind and be patient. Everyone is doing the best they can. Think about the stress the secretaries and doctors are under with higher than normal volume of calls each and every day since this pandemic started. The world needs more people to be kinder and more understanding.

Disappointed. They don’t return your call, had my appt cancelled last minute and I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for almost a month now to have it rescheduled! Dr. Sussman is good, just impossible to meet with him.

I went to see him 2 times. Certainly well respected. he said I didnt have allergies I thought that was really weird. Looking back I think maybe the antidepressants were causing some kind of reactions. I was hoping he would discover this but unfortunately he didnt mention it. I honestly forgot to mention it. Maybe Ill try again. My eyes are really bothering me.

Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with Dr. Gordon Sussman. He had forgotten my reasons for being allergy tested, after it being explained we proceeded further but considering this was my first allergy test ever, nothing was explained to me about the process. I was not informed what was being put in the patch tests or on my arm when pricked. I was also not informed that I needed to wear the patch test for a few days before having to return to the office. The worst part of it all was he asked me to meet with him in his office and then he left me there for about 30min. He came back with another patient and paused, looked at me, and then asked the other patient to wait outside. “I forgot about you I’m sorry,” he said. This is extremely unprofessional and I’m not sure if it’s cause I’m young, a woman of colour, or both but I’m pretty sure this would not happen with another patient.

I have a very complex autoimmune disorder and Dr.Sussman is the only doctor that knows how to handle it. He cares about his patients, and when I was having a reaction to a treatment, he wouldn’t let me leave until he was sure I was ok.He has the great reputation he does because he has earned it and his new clinic is great.

My daughter has suffered with numerous allergies for more than 20 years and we wanted to see a doctor that could perhaps perform oral challenges. From the very first contact with Debbie at his office, we were sure we found the right doctor. When we showed up everyone working there was helpful and pleasant from the girls at the front desk, to the nurse that took her blood and the rest of the staff. The doctor was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. It was the first time in many years that we left a doctors office with a positive outlook. Thank you so much for looking after our concerns. We are extremely thankful that Dr. Sussman took the time to meet with us and discuss our needs. Again, the staff were so pleasant and helpful and we found the house to be very comforting.

What can I say? I had a terrible experience. The doctor was only concerned with who I had seen before and did not listen to anything I said. He already had an opinion about the previous doctor and lumped me into this impression. His office is in a very old house that is in very bad repair--an allergy trap for anyone with mold or dust allergies. Also, there was a sign saying not to wear perfume and when I used the bathroom the soap was extremely perfumed.. The nurse was in a rush--as was everyone--and did a very sloppy job of the skin test. Dr. Sussman found all kinds of reasons not to do anything for me, but told me to come back in six months. I felt that I got the bum's rush. One of the poorest medical experiences I have ever had.

He is a rare and precious Dr. & so easy to relate to. His secretaries always go out of their way to help. His location is perfect and his bldg. is a large comfortable converted home with character & full of history in lovely Forest Hill. ALL DELIGHTFUL.

Incredibly rude to both patients and staff, he kept coming into the waiting room to loudly announce things like “I hope my next patient doesn’t come so we can charge her and I can go home”. He was very curt with his staff and multiple times shouted orders without waiting for response or showing any concern for the many people who were watching him shout. Being a doctor shouldn’t mean you get away with being flagrantly rude.
