Excellent Doctor. Really cares about my sight. Explains everything to me in ways I can understand. So glad he’s my eye Doctor.

He was very nice and went through my concerns. He is friendly and it was easy to talk to him.

I had my Appointment today and I tell ya his staff is quite impatient and snappy. The lady didn’t give me any instructions, just grabbed onto my head and turned my already painful and stiff neck. I didn’t appreciate her not prompting me or giving me time.. Top of that she seemed irritated.. not a place for slow patients.
Dr spent 20 min talking about politics with the person ahead of me and spent around 3 min with me, during which he asked me if I had Canadian passport? Made me question why am I there and waited patiently for a bunch of information on Liberals. Seriously ????

Good Dr, friendly and very chatty. He operated on me and literally saved my eye. His assistant is fresh of a boat from India, quite arrogant and rude. She didn’t clean the machines in between patient, I was sitting out and watching here. The chairs in the waiting area don’t get sanitized. I wanted to complain about here but she stood next to Dr Anand the whole time in the room, even even he was talking about politics. didn’t see her point of being there.

Let's start with the "expect to wait 2 to 4 hours" sign. I arrived 12 minutes before my appointment. Only 2 people were called in while I was waiting, yet no one left. Some man starts playing the harmonica. When he stopped, he announced that perhaps his music grabbed the doctors attention as he has been there waiting for over 2 hours. (He was the 2nd person called in that I previously mentioned). 50 minutes have passed, I went to the front desk to inquire how much longer it will be. I get leered at with replies of UH, UH, UH, UH. The other lady at the front desk leaves, within moments the technician comes out and calls my name (still didn't receive a response on the wait time other than UH. I ask the technician how long before I will see the doctor. No response, asked her again. There is a long pause and she says: after me, somewhere from 1 hours to 1 1/2 half wait time. I left!

I too am surprised by some of these comments. We have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Anand. My husband first went in every six months as his Optometrist found a freckle on his macula. Then my husband was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and a complication of that was cataracts. Dr. Anand was always able to fit my husband in which was very appreciated. The fact that Dr. Anand is able to see these cases that are more emergent may have an impact for his office times for less emergent cases. I'm totally fine with that personally. As far as the music he plays, totally fine with that too if that's what he needs to stay focused. After my husband had both lens of his eyes replaced, he has now developed diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Anand again, was able to see him right away when he called because he was seeing a black spot. Dr Anand has always made time for my questions however, I am pretty pushy when it comes to being an advocate for my husband as he gets overwhelmed and forgets to ask the questions that need to be asked. For people who are unhappy with his bedside manner, maybe it would be beneficial to you to take a companion along.

A very pleasant man who I saw after years of suffering a rare eye disease that was misdiagnosed by another doctor. I had almost completely lost my sight, in my left eye. He informed me that my vision would never be 100% again and after his care and surgery on my eye, my vision is back to 80 - 90%, I would estimate. Before my surgery, my eyesight was so bad that I could not enjoy the pleasure of reading a good book. After my surgery, reading was no problem and I read more than ever because I will never take it for granted again. I am forever grateful to Dr. Anand and what he did for me. Unfortunately, this disease has a chance of returning but Dr. Anand is keeping a close eye on it. ;)
