My gyno has a very bad rating on this site and when I went to see him, I understood why. I looked up high-rated gynos in Northern Ontario and quickly switched to Dr. Laval. I am VERY VERY pleased with her! She is so nice. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful doctor! I went to her for prenatal care and she delivered my son. She asked what my delivery plan was and followed it completely. I always felt comfortable with her from the moment i first met her. When she delivered my son she sang happy birthday to him and i thought that was very special and have it recorded too. She always has a smile and welcomes you into her office and makes you feel at home. I LOVE this doctor and am still seeing her following my delivery. I would recommend her to all women having a baby.

Dr.Laval has issues with bedside manner or lack there of. She gave me treatment options on more than one occassion without any information about those options. I did get some printouts from her about some things but nothing was explained to me. Unfortunatly with this dr, unless you know which questions to ask you will not get any answers. After years of infertility, I finally got pregnant, when I told her I was concerned about miscarriage she reassured me by telling me that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. When I was spotting she repeated this and when I did miscarry she said it again. This is just one example of her lack of bedside manner. I would prefer a dr that shows some empathy and tells me info instead of just handouts. I have been seeing Dr.Laval for over 2yrs and have never been comfortable with her. I tried to tell myself that I didn't like the bad news but unfotunatly the more I saw her the more I realised that's not the case. She simply has no bedside manner!

Dr. Laval was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about her. How many doctors would personally call their patient at 5:00 on a friday afternoon to tell them the results were good and not make them wait until monday to find this out. I had a hystorectomy and everything went very well. I had great care and she answered whatever questions I had for her. I highly recommend her. If I ever need another referal, I will make sure she is the one I see.

I saw Dr Laval because of urinary incontinence and hormonal problems. She was very matter of fact, and reassuring and really listened to me. She seems to go out of her way to be accessible for her patients, and make it easier for patients to see her. There was no problem getting hormone patch refills, and she explained the difference between the pills and patch and I really liked her. It was a joy to see a doctor who liked her patients. Thanks, Dr. Laval. You have changed my life.

To Dr. Laval haters: All of the slanderous remarks, so untrue, shame on you!! She is nothing but kind, thourall and caring. She has a nice comforting manner about her and extremely smart doctor knows her stuff. Dr. Laval is recording your things in her note pad so she can keep better track of all the details (it would be impossible to remember so many patients nitty gritty facts), you should be happy she is so efficient.

Sharon is an absolutely horrible doctor. The previous comments are all correct; she is extremely rude. Other than her being rude, which can be slightly tolerated, she goes against any of the patients morals. She does not let the patient speak, and is completely sarcastic- ultimately making the patient feel humiliated.
NO person should EVER feel humiliated in a doctors office- completely unprofessional.
Sharon (I choose not even to call her a doctor), also lied to me about 2 prescriptions. Sharon told me she had given me a prescription paper twice- which I thought I had lost twice- but, after visiting the clinic AGAIN today in search for my prescription, resulted that no prescription had EVER even been recorded onto my file.
This “doctor” is a complete waist of time, and plays with peoples health. I now have to wait to see another doctor, making my prescription wait even longer, affecting my every day life.
Sharon Lavale is an embarassment to the Apple Tree Company in Ottawa.
She is completely zoned into her computer, avoids eye contact, and I noticed her finger nails were disgustingly dirty.
She works from the baseline greenbank location, and the bells corners location.

She is a very rude doctor. She doesn’t seem to listen and she is completely focused on the computer. She also didn’t set the appropriate appointments in place on time. She is very rushed

If there were a way to leave a rating of zero I would do so. This doctor is amazingly rude, confrontational, and has very poor listening skills. She is quick to cut you off, and when I told her why I was there to see her she very quickly wanted to prescribe birth control pills. When I told her that several other doctors have told me they won’t work for my condition she got very rude and at one point asked me, “So, do you want to just have surgery?” We spent the majority of the visit verbally sparing and she does not respect your desire to ask about holistic options. She is dismissive and did I mention rude? I will most certainly not be going back to this doctor, nor would I recommend this doctor to anyone.
