I was a victim of whiplash with a painful neck. A year later it still is painful. My GP in Geraldton referred me to this arrogant little man. I brought in my scans thinking he would want to see them. Did not show any interest whatever. When he found out it was a MVA claim, he charged me an extra $100. I was in his Subiaco room less than 5 minutes for nothing. $355 for 5 minutes of nothing. What a jerk.

Mr Narula did my surgery 7 weeks ago: Posterier Lumbar Interbody Fusion L5/S1. I am very happy and satisfied with the care and support I got from Mr Narula. I was in excruciating pain pre-surgery, all I have now is the discomfort of post operative pain which is very tolerable and will ease in time. I am very grateful for the care and support from Mr Narula and all the nursing staff at SJGH Murdoch. Thankyou so very much 🙂

If you are looking to be mollycoddled by your Dr, then seek someone else. I wanted someone who ‘knew his stuff’, and that is what I got. It is all that matters…that you are getting the best treatment out there! I had ACDF surgery on C5/C6 22 October 2012. After being in the Gov System for more than 3 months, I was relieved to be referred to Mr Narula (thank goodness for HBF Insurance). With unsteady gait, uncoordination, lack of feeling on my left side, constant headaches and dizziness, no one knew what was wrong with me until I insisted on an MRI of the neck. Voila, problem found 🙂 I am very thankful to Mr Narula and his team. His knowledge is unbelievably vast and his ability to explain to you in laymans terms your diagnosis and treatment was welcoming. I would highly recommend Mr Narula to anyone I come accross. I found his team at Murdoch accomodating and plesant and I couldn’t have wished for a better outcome. Thank you Mr Narula…RESPECT!

I had two consultations with Soni in late 2012 presenting with dessicated/torn L4/S1 discs and found him to be an extremely rude little man. Both consultations were extremely brief and he was unhelpful to say the least, he was vague, dismissive and evasive. He paid no attention when I spoke and he offered me no insight or advice about my condition. He ordered scans on my first consultation and on my second reffered me to another specialist and would have had me return to his rooms for as many consultations as possible if only to gouge more consultation fees from me. I can’t express my disappointment and disbelief enough toward this self absorbed and self appreciating little man and found the whole experience most unprofessional. If I wasn’t in so much pain it could only be described as laughable.

Spent less than 10 min in Dr Narula’s office and he seemed more oppiniated about my weight than my actual injury. He sent me to have the injection done for nerve root compression and that has not helped so know I have to go back and see him. Is there anyone here that can recommend another specialist? I am just so disappointed about hid behaviour and judgemental oppinion. My injury is work related and nothing to do with my weight!!!

Money money money . Go to him for a back problem and end up getting a lecture about why he should be earning more money and why health insurers are ripping him off. How ridiculous. have you ever been to a specialist who charges you to listen to why they dont earn enough? What an unprofessional thing to discuss with patients. Sheer arrogance

Please dont waste your time seeing this surgeon. Was told not to return at the end of the appointment because I didnt need surgeryand he doesnt want me to waste his time. I have a vp shunt that needs adjusting after mri and this can only be done by a neurosurgeon with specialised equipment. He did not even examine me. Multiple emergency physicians expressed to me that they have concerns about my shunt but in his report to my gp he stated that its something I had made up. He did not even read the reports from the original surgeon (now deceased) who performed the operation to insert the shunt. Soni Narula is definitely not someone I would recommend to even my worse enemy. Poor form doc!

I am happy to recommend Mr Narula to anyone. I have been attending his clinic for around 9 years. I have found that he is very professional. He does not operate unless there is no alternative. After numerous tests, he explained in full my condition. He then suggested I try pain management. This worked for a few years. But eventually ended up requiring surgery. Mr Narula explained what he would do and what results I could expect. I am very happy with the outcome. I have also found his office staff to be kind and helpful. His costing is no higher than other professionals.

Highly skilled doctor, informed and professional. I have only good things to say about Dr Narula. I've been a regular patient for some time now and always find his two reception staff polite and helpful.
