DR ANAND IS WORST DOCTOR EVER. HE DOES NOT RESPECT HIS PATIENTS. I SAW HIM AT SUNRIDGE LOCATION, MY APPT. WAS AT 9.00 AM BUT MY TURN CAME AT 11.30AM WHAT A WASTAGE OF TIME. HE DID NOT EXPLAIN IN DETAIL WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY EYES. AFTER 10.00 MINTUTES HE SAID YOU NEED TO COME AGAIN IN 6 MONTHS. AND HE BOOKED MY APPT. AT ROCKY VIEW HOSPITAL I TOLD HIM THIS LOCATION IS CONVENIENT FOR ME HE SAID I WILL SEE YOU AT RGH ONLY. THIS IS VERY RUDE. I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST MY FAMILY AND MY FRIENDS TO SEE THIS DR. FOR ANY EYE COMPLICATIONS.

Would avoid if at all possible. Saw him for several years due to a bout of uveitis which left a significant amount of inflammatory cells in my vitreous, so much so that I struggled to see out of the eye. For years Dr. Anand saw me every 6-12 months but I was never treated in any way and told there was nothing that could be done with my eye. He would always bring other dr’s or nurses in to view what was going on with my eye, treating me as if I weren’t even there. Last year I found a new retinal specialist who immediately told me he could fix my eye. One quick surgery later my vision has been restored! I’m sad to think about how I would have had to live with my vision the way it was if I had continued with Dr. Anand.

If an opthalmologist is advertising himself as retina specialist & surgeon. As a patient your expecting that this doctor can give you the necessary treatment for your retina related cases. If hes not capable that means its a fraud or malpractice. Beware!!!!

Dr Anand is one of the top Opthomologists in Calgary. He is highly educated and truly cares and is concerned about his patients. I am lucky to have him as a doctor! He is exceptional and knows what he is doing! As a specialist and an over booked one at that, (if he is late with appointments, it is because he is saving peoples vision) he is wonderful and a just a real person, and Worth the Wait……I see him every couple of months, and would recommend him to anyone!!

It seems not very helpful doctor, its just telling
To come back after 6 months for check up, if he wants
To help he should refer a patient to a specialist who
Can fix the eye problem.

I had a retinal detachment at the age of 29 in my only good eye (legally blind in the other from birth) and have zero “real” complaints about Dr Anand. Yeah I had some wait times but he is a specialist so it is expected. It seems like most of the complaints on here are from people who want to be treated like it’s a spa when they go to their doctor. I prefer free/subsidized health care for all then a country club hospital where only the wealthy get the proper and timely treatment like our neighbors down south. If specialists like him didn’t exist we (people who have made comments) would all be living a much worse quality of life so the next time you have to wait for 1,2,3 or 4 hours just be thankful that you live in age where you can actually see an eye specialist. I would recommend Dr. Anand and I will always be grateful that he saved me from being legally blind.
